One of the major objectives of getting a perfect six pack abs is to build muscles and for that you must perform certain exercises and one of them is to do crunches. The perfect technique to do it is as follows.

Firstly, lie on the floor and then do cross arms in front of your chest. Then bend your knees upwards as much as you can.
Don’t place both of your hands behind your head as it places a lot of unnecessary stress on the lower part of your body when you pull your head and neck upwards and hence may cause certain lower back problems in the long run.
Another alternative to it is by crossing the arms in front of the chest and place your finger tips behind the ears lightly without pulling up your neck. Now raise your upper torso shoulder towards the knees keeping in mind that you make use of abdominal muscles exclusively.
A major point to be kept in mind while doing this exercise is that you must not lift your entire back off the floor as it may cause back strain and also such type of extended movements can prove to be a hurdle in the process of developing six pack abs.
